Sometimes I am happy sometimes I am sad,
Sometimes I am high on nothing but the friendships I have had,
Life is a roller coaster but that’s said to be fair.
Sometimes you’ve got to laugh and live on air.
Sometimes life dips and turns until you’re lost,
Just remember that this is the cost.
Everything always pays off in the end,
If you can count one truly trusted friend.
Someone to lean on when you’re feeling blue,
Someone who believes that you are you.
Someone who understands your ways,
A person who’ll be there till the end of your days.
Lovers are dandy and soulmates are fine,
But love can be as fleeting as a good glass of wine.
Life is too short to count your regrets,
So roll the die and come on place you bets.
‘I have a dream’ a wise man once said,
And I can hear those words resound in my head.
We can teach the young to be wise like the old,
But the very young don’t always do what they’re told.
Sometimes life goes up where the air is thin,
And lack of reality makes your head spin.
The deeds and the words that with the bells peal,
Seem like an illusion and something surreal.
The dizzying heights that only minds reach,
Is a headier drug than all that they preach.
The thins trains of thought that wind through the clouds,
Can only be reached when separate from crowds.
Take a deep breath and close your eyes,
Listen not to your nieghbours sighs.
Let your mind go to soar and to fly,
And look at the world from up in the sky.
